Hey besties, here’s a little week 3 recap – mostly financials and logistical stuff because you can so easily google pretty pictures and find cute cafes on google maps. This is the shit people don’t breakdown! Click here to see Week 2 (Sept 19-Sept 26, 2024) I track all of our expenses through Travel Spend (an app) – I have been doing this for almost 2 years now and love using it. It’s also super inexpensive for the yearly app fee.
Let me make a quick disclaimer! We are NOT budget travelers and the below numbers are for TWO adults who prioritize convenience and experiences. We keep our big costs pretty low and splurge on good food, good ๐ (legal here) and experiences/activities! I make at least 3/4 of our meals at home because 1. I like to cook and 2. convenience sake – it’s quicker for me to cook what I want to eat than wait 30-40 min for delivery.
Week 3:
September 27th-October 3rd, 2024
Girlie pops, soooo I really thought our daily average for spending would go down. Idk why I thought that, if you learn two things about me, let them be that I’m a yapper and if you leave me alone in a home goods store I’ll leave with a shopping cart full of shit (cute shit that makes our life so comfy cozy) but shit I didn’t need or intend on buying. whoops.
One time + monthly expenses that are constant:
Plane tickets from USA to Thailand, upgraded seats + extra luggage allowance: $1,539.60
Apartment (rent is different each month because of low/high tourist season) but it averages to $757 per month and this includes: wifi, electric, water, full gym, fitness + yoga classes, sauna, pool, weekly full cleaning + sheets/towel changes, 24/7 security + private covered parking.
Scooter rental: $150 monthly
Water Delivery (tap water is NOT safe to drink here): about $15 per month
Purchases Throughout the Week:
these fluctuate week to week
Pretty things for our apt + necessities: $133.50
Groceries: $114.19
Eating Out/Meal Delivery: $121.67
Little treats (aka smoothies, coffee, tea, matcha, etc): $26.50
๐ (legal here): $0

Well, I’m convinced that I’ll just keep spending lots of $$ on pretty things for our apartment until we move out. Idk, we went to IKEA yesterday and now our daily average for spending is $. Whoops. BUT I’m over here creating a home bby so no regrets. Live, laugh, love that for me ๐ ๐ผ
