14 Day Instagram Challenge!

Hey besties, I have been recommending this little instagram challenge for years to my biz coaching clients – I use it as a mental (and technological) reset. It helps me rewire my brain to see instagram as more of an aspect of my job vs just a fun little escape from reality andddd by doing this challenge you’re showing instagram you’re committed to posting on its platform and you’re hella popular so they should start (and continue) pushing your content to users. 💅🏼

The Challenge Deets

for 14 CONSECUTIVE days:
post at least 1x per day on your feed
post 5+ stories per day

screenshot your insights before and after the 14 days

Disclaimer: sometimes you get great results and sometimes they’re just meh. It’s not that deep, it’s literally 2 weeks and it will benefit your instagram presence regardless of the initial results! ✌🏻

So this might all look like a ridiculous jumbled mess of data but let me break down the important stuff.

14 days of how I normally post (kind of sporadic) (Sept 15-29):
total views: 1,982
viewer breakdown: 65.9% from followers // 34.1% from non-followers
followers: 826 (7 new follows and 3 unfollows)

14 days of instagram challenge (Sept 30-Oct 13):
total views: 9,596
viewer breakdown: 68.6% from followers // 31.4% from non-followers
followers: 826 (13 new follows and 5 unfollows)

See how my follower count fluctuated? Instagram is so un-serious tbh. Follower count doesn’t equate to new clients or sales, same goes for view count! The goal is to ALWAYS put your art (both services and products) in front of as many eyes as possible. The more people who see it, the more of a chance your content will resonate with someone and they’ll be your ideal client/customer and make a purchase. It’s a long game, you’re building trust and rapport – same as in real life, just virtually. Make friends, stop trying to sell sell sell.

Rule of thumb: 80% of your content should GIVE value to your audience and (at most) 20% of your content reserved for SELLING a service or product.

Hope you give this little challenge a try! Let me know if you have any questions and share your results with me on insta!
